02/03/2026 β€’ How am I able to be part of a lot of bands?

(Originally posted in 02/03/2026, translated in english in 02/07/2026)

Look who decided to show up after not writing or updating anything here for a while lol

I wish I could've written more stuff during last year since I was seeking to be more productive with my website but unfortunately I got extremely busy with other stuff as well as frying my brain up trying to make the website more functional, so for now (this time I'm being srs I swear lol) I'll be trying to post more stuff here regularly, whether it would be any yap session, gig pics/throwbacks or just stuff from personal projects overall.

Welp, as a "re-opening" of this blog/journal/whatever-else-you-wanna-call-it section of mine, I thought of finally responding in a clearer albeit summarized way the question people always have whenever they meet me, whether by the internet or in any irl thing I happen to be whenever I mention I play in 6 bands:

"HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO DO THAT???"

Aaaand well, if you ignore the image below that's basically a tl;dr for that, there's a few factors I consider:

The first of which would be the fact that 90% of the projects I maintain or I'm part of are strictly studio-based projects, to sum it up, I don't need nor I see any necessity in bringing them onstage at the moment, creating with them already does the job for me.

The second factor would be the fact I tend to think/reflect/breathe/overthink/take a lot of decisions whenever I join any band/project and we start working right away in a more active consistency, so for that I normally prefer looking out for days of which I focus only in a single specific band so we can rehearse/colaborate in a more consistent pace in a way that does not fuck with anyone's schedule or gets me all overworked, and since I'm someone with a whole lot of free time in my hands, I have enough time to balance things from different bands and projects pretty much at any time I like (although in a way that does not interfere with personal issues and schedules, like work/college and whatnot).

Now another factor would be the "band x/y/z who's way more active in the studio decides to place a gig somewhere" scenario, of which I simply prefer focusing a considerable ammount of time just for these bands with extremely sporadic performances, bc well, I prefer making the most out of these performances and plans bc who knows how long it would take for another gig like that.

Now going back to the first factor, normally when I mention all of this yap salad to anyone, the question always remains the same:

"Right but don't you feel like bringing project x/y/z live someday?"

And the answer is, of course lol

Most of the times I start a new project I always get myself thinking of two things:

  • What would I do and how I would experiment with whatever sounds/concepts I have;
  • How would I be if I'd bring the project live onstage;

And 99% of the time I just get myself thinking in how and what I would do onstage with the project, going from the number of people involved with live instruments to what I would bring with me to set the mood in terms of ambience, but normally I just get myself stuck at the more realistc "studio only" factor, bc aside from finding people to actually do anything to perfectly align with your project being hard, I also have to spend whatever quantity I may have at the time for something I'm not sure I would repeat onstage or keep doing.

Anyway, that's all c:

Here's a lil tune:
